Roddy Doyle

Inspired by people like Donalyn Miller, who are encouraging their students to read more by giving them greater freedom to choose what they read for class, I am allowing my students to pick the primary author they want to work with this semester.  One of my students chose Roddy Doyle and I found a bunch of his short stories available from "The New Yorker". Enjoy.

"Ash"

"Sleep"

"Bullfighting"

"The Dog"

"Teaching"

"The Photograph"

"The Joke"

"Recuperation"

  2. Great Edith Anne! Let me know which ones you liked best - easy to read, most exciting, provocative, etc. - so that I'll have a better idea which one to use in class. Cheers!
